Israeli ports will no longer be served by the Chinese container shipping company Cosco, Reuters reported, citing the Israeli financial news website Globes.

The news, which did not provide details of the decision, comes as Red Sea shipping lanes have been disrupted by attacks by Iran-backed Houthi militiamen in Yemen.

COSCO’s offices in Israel declined to comment. Israeli port officials said they were checking the information.

COSCO is the fourth largest company in the global container market, accounting for around 11% of world trade.
